Atlantic Highlands, NJ – On Saturday, June 6 at 9:30pm, the Atlantic Highlands Arts Council’s FilmOneFest presents the New Jersey movie premiere Coming Home, shown at Atlantic Cinemas, 82 First Ave, Atlantic Highlands. The event raises funds for FilmOneFest 2015, the free One-Minute International Film Festival in Atlantic Highlands. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at The Painted Frame at 78 First Avenue,, or at the door. 

Please bring a non-perishable food item for the Atlantic Highlands Food Pantry as FilmOneFest supports the Food Pantry at all its events.  

Coming Home

Direct from the Cannes & Berlin film festivals, the critically acclaimed COMING HOME will be arriving in Atlantic Highlands for its New Jersey premiere on June 6th at the Atlantic Cinemas.  The period love story revolves around a devoted husband, Lu Yanshi (played by Chen Daoming,INTERNAL AFFAIR) and his wife, Feng (actress Gong Li,MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA and RAISE THE RED LANTERN), when they are forced to separate when Lu is arrested and sent to a labor camp as a political prisoner. When Lu is finally released in the final days of the Cultural Revolution, he returns home to discover his wife has amnesia and doesn’t recognize him. The story spans the 1920’s to the 1990’s as a broken-hearted Lu struggles to resurrect their past and rebuild their relationship.
