HIGHLANDS, NJ – The Henry Hudson Regional School PTO is selling raffle tickets for a special 40-trip pass on the SeaStreak ferry. This pass is special because it is valid for a full year, rather than just the usual 60-day period, and, importantly, the 40 tickets may be used by any person or person(s), any time, which makes it great for group and family travel as well as commuting.

“We would like to thank SeaStreak for their generosity,” said HHRS PTO President Amy Manning. “The value of the 40 trips is over $650 alone, and combined with the flexibility of being able to use the pass for a full year, makes it even more useful and appealing. A family of 4 would have 5 free round trips to New York!”

PTO volunteers will be selling a limited number of the $20 raffle tickets at the Seastreak terminals in Highlands and Atlantic Highlands on Thursdays and Fridays during the evening rush hours, approximately 5-8pm. They also encourage buyers to contact PTO for purchase.

The HHRS PTO has been challenged by the high cost of several projects under consideration, including improvements to athletic fields and fitness center, creation of an outdoor learning area, as well as improved electronic signage. The proceeds generated by the raffle will be used to jumpstart funding of at least one of these important improvement projects.

The PTO hopes to sell all of the tickets by May 17, with the winner being announced at their spring meeting on Tuesday, May 19, at 7pm at the school. The winner need not be present; he/she will be notified by phone.
