ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ – Photographer Robbie Hillmann and Artists R.J. Clawson and Robert Hillmann will have an exhibition of their artworks at 128 Ocean Avenue (Monmouth Beach Cultural Center) in Monmouth Beach, NJ. The exhibition will be from April 8th – April 25th.

Robbie Hillmann has been taking pictures for over 40 years. His love of photography started while he was in the Army stationed in Hawaii. Robbie resides in Atlantic Highlands with his wife and sons, Randy, R.J. and Robert. His art hangs in many homes locally and as far away as Sweden. Robbie is the owner of a photo and gift shop on First Avenue in Atlantic Highlands, Sea Sons. Recently, his photographs were hung on display at the Middletown Arts Center and yearly they are hung at the Sandy Hook Lighthouse Keeper Quarters. This is Robbie’s third show at the Monmouth Beach Cultural Center. He is grateful to be sharing this space with his sons this time.

RJ Clawson is an emerging artist, primarily working in acrylic and mixed media. RJ was born, raised and recently moved back to Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey with his wife, Michelle, and their daughter, Emmi. His artwork “Dripper’s Drift” has been displayed in the “Main Hall Mango Madness & Member Summer Salon” at The Armory (The Studios of Key West).  This past fall RJ transitioned out of the U.S. COAST GUARD with the intent to learn more about art. To date he has completed 70 artworks. Although RJ has completed all of these in a year and a half each one holds special meaning. A piece that RJ really likes is called “Mindspace” and the inspiration comes from the ability to set aside common understandings and scientific fact and develop new ideas. “Mindspace” is part of a current theme RJ is working on exploring the concepts of infinity, parallel lines and dimensions. While taking classes within NJIT’s Digital Design program he longed to create in traditional mediums. R.J. is currently a Full-Time Student enrolled in Brookdale Community Colleges Studio Arts Program. His artworks can be viewed at

Robert Hillmann is a ninth grader at Henry Hudson Regional School. His love of art started in the 3rd grade during his Challenge Art Class. Robert remained in that class for three years. He is currently painting using acrylics in an abstract style. Robert is excited to be sharing the space with his father and brother who are both major influences on his art.

You are invited to attend the reception which will take place at 128 Ocean Avenue, Monmouth Beach, NJ from 5PM to 7PM on APRIL 10th 2015.
