Free Exhibition of New Works by Caroline Northrop and Robert O’Connor

Atlantic Highlands, NJ – On March 28, the Second Story Art Gallery presents “In a Landscape,” an exhibition of new works by Caroline Northrop and Robert O’Connor, with an opening reception on Saturday, April 4 from 6-8pm at 78 First Avenue, Atlantic Highlands.  Exhibition is free and runs from March 28 to May 2.

The show will feature paintings by O’Connor and screen prints by both artists, as well as collaborative pieces. The title of the exhibition reflects a desire to represent the meaning of place. Northrop employs photographic printing techniques to create personal narratives of organic and synthetic aspects of her life. O’Connor uses landscape imagery, including images of his home town of Atlantic Highlands, to flesh out the meaning of home.

Second Story Art Gallery exhibits artwork that is highly crafted, but also goes beyond the material and speaks to and comments on its experiences in the world. Committed to the local community, Second Story Art Gallery works with other galleries and arts organizations to promote arts and culture in Monmouth County.
