Atlantic Highlands, NJ – The Committee to Elect Lou Fligor to the office of Mayor of Atlantic Highlands is announcing his candidacy in the June 2nd Republican Primary. In a time when some towns run unopposed elections, Atlantic Highlands will hold a Republican primary to allow the voters to select the Republican candidate for Mayor.
Lou expressed the importance voting in the primary. “The citizens of Atlantic Highlands are fortunate to have two qualified candidates seeking the slot on the ballot in November,” said Lou. “Exercising the right to vote is the most effective way to voice our opinions and effect change.”
Since elected in 2001 Mr. Fligor has served the town as a vigorous, involved, hands on member of the Atlantic Highlands Borough Council. He has served on or chaired many of the committees formed to create policies for the betterment of the community.
Mr. Fligor is looking to move the town in a direction that best serves all citizens in Atlantic Highlands. “We have a robust senior population, a growing community of young families and they each have unique needs from our town. My job will be to reach out to them, listen to what they need and align our priorities to meet them.”
