Spotlight Events:
Friends of the Library Meeting (Tuesday, March 3; 6:30 pm)
Documentary Screening: Food Chains (Tuesday, March 10; 7 pm)
Synopsis: “In this exposé, an intrepid group of Florida farmworkers battle to defeat the $4 trillion global supermarket industry through their ingenious Fair Food program, which partners with growers and retailers to improve working conditions for farm laborers in the United States.” For more info, go to http://is.gd/qnxis1. How I Lost 100 Pounds—and Kept Them Off for 20 Years (Saturday, March 14; 2 pm)
Gay Edelman, Middletown resident since 1978 and former senior editor at Family Circle, Rosie, and McCall’s reads from her book The Hungry Ghost: How I Ditched 100 Pounds and Came Fully Alive.

Women’s History Month Celebration (Monday, March 16; 7 pm) 
In celebration of Women’s History Month, learn about the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASPs), a group of volunteer pilots during WW2.

New Jersey Maker Day 2015 (Saturday, March 21; 10 am)
This event is designed to be a statewide single-day event that celebrates, promotes, and for many introduces them to maker culture, as well as the values associated with making, tinkering and STEM based learning. You Can Run a Marathon (Wednesday, March 25; 2 pm)
Learn how anyone can train and prepare for the long run. Find out how to avoid injuries and learn helpful tips from an experienced marathoner. Designed for all skill levels. 

Presented by Dr. Rod Lowder, a local chiropractor, who has participated in marathons in the US and Europe and won the first marathon he competed in. He has finished in the top 1% in the NYC Marathon.

You’ve Got a Friend: Middletown Business to Business Event (Thursday, March 26; 7 pm)
Libraries mean business! Enjoy networking, entertainment, and light refreshments in the spacious Community Room of the Middletown Township Library. Make new friends while building your brand and bolstering your business in the relaxing atmosphere of the library. Don’t forget to bring your business cards!
