MIDDLETOWN — A new officer joined the Middletown Police Department. Patrol Officer Tara M. Stucy accepted her oath of office at the February Township Committee meeting.

Patrol Officer Tara M. Stucy, 29, previously worked for the state Department of Corrections and the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office.  She is a graduate of the 216th Jersey City Police Academy. Patrol Officer Stucy currently resides in Forked River with her husband David and daughter Summer Skye. 

Stucy’s mother, Grace Taino and husband David, will hold the bible during her swearing in ceremony.  About a dozen family members, many of whom have careers in law enforcement, are expected to attend. Her husband, David, is currently attending the state Department of Corrections academy.
