The Children’s Room offers free drop-in Story Times for young children with a caregiver on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. and Thursday afternoons at 1:30 p.m. Join us for fun stories, musical activities, and a craft. 

Roses are red – Violets are blue – Stories, crafts and fun things to do – Come to our Valentine’s Party for you!!  Children ages 3 and up are invited to join us on Saturday, February 14 at 11:00 a.m. for a special Valentine’s Party with crafts, games and special treats.

The Red Bank Public Library monthly adult book discussion group, Readin’ on the River, will meet on Wednesday, February 18 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. to discuss Nora Webster: A Novel, by Colm Tóibín. Please contact the library for information on the current off-site location.

English as a Second Language classes for adults 18 and over are conducted by the Literacy Volunteers of Monmouth County at the Red Bank Public Library from September through June. The new 10-week session will began January 15, 2015.  Please contact the Literacy Volunteers of Monmouth County at 732-571-0209 or visit their website at www.lvmonmouthnj.org for information on ESL classes, volunteer tutor training classes, and English conversation classes throughout Monmouth County.

Free one-hour, one-on-one Computer Tutor classes are available at the Red Bank Public Library.  Learn computer and internet basics from our knowledgeable and patient volunteers. Please call or visit the Reference Desk to register.

The Red Bank Public Library offers free weekly one-hour Yoga for Adults on Fridays from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m.  The class is appropriate for all levels of yoga experience. Please bring your own yoga mat.  Registration is not required.  Participants attend on a first come, first served basis up to a total of twenty people.

The Jersey Inchkins is a club made up of adults who do “very little work.”  Club members build houses, rooms, scenes, and vignettes in miniature, usually on a scale of one inch to one foot.   Jersey Inchkins meets at the library on the third Wednesday of each month from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.  The group welcomes new members 18 and older interested in developing their skills in this creative fields.

The Red Bank Senior Center in cooperation with the Red Bank Public Library hosts a book discussion group on the last Monday of each month at the Senior Center at 1:00 p.m. except in December.  Red Bank Borough residents age 60 and over are welcome to join the Center and participate in this or any of its other great programs.  Call them at 732-747-5204 for more information.

The Friends of the Red Bank Public Library meet monthly.  Please call the library at 732-842-0690 for the Friends next meeting date and more information about this vibrant group and its activities that support the library. 

The next meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Red Bank Public Library will be on Thursday, February 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the library.  These meetings are open to the public and are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:30pm in the Meeting Room unless otherwise noted. The scheduled dates for the remainder of the year are as follows:  March 19, April 16, May 21, June 18, July 16, August 20, September 17, October 15, November 19 and December 17.

From The New Jersey History Room – A new photographic exhibit titled “Red Bank High School Takes the Stage” will be featured at Borough Hall beginning in February and will remain on display for several months. All are invited to pop in and take a walk down memory lane!
