Atlantic Highlands, NJ – On January 9, the Atlantic Highlands Arts Council announced the opening of its new home…The Arts Corner. Located at 135 First Ave. in Atlantic Highlands, the Arts Council celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony with Mayor Fred Rast and other local residents and businesses, eager to inspire and enrich the lives of the surrounding communities with its new home.

The Atlantic Highlands Arts Council’s goals for The Arts Corner (TAC) are to create a home for artists of all kind to create, teach and display their work. TAC has both work space and gallery space; in addition provides private studio space by the hour. In the next few weeks, a list of workshops will be presented, beginning with an introduction to pastels with artist Marge Levine, a jewelry and craft workshop with artist John McAllister, and a “Cell Phone Plein Air Shootout” with photographer Jeff Smith.

For more information on the Arts Corner’s hours and workshops/classes, please visit or contact Anne Milling at 917-687-3314/ [email protected]. We encourage any artist to give a class or a workshop. TAC can also be rented for private parties, meetings and activities, such as yoga classes.

If you are an art lover, we welcome you to be involved by volunteering or making a one time or continuing financial contribution to assist the Atlantic Highlands Arts Council with The Arts Corner.

The AHAC is a nonprofit organization, which has been adding arts and culture to the area since 2008; its mission is to strengthen community through the arts.  The Arts Corner is a way to continue to build on that mission.

This program is made possible in part by Monmouth Arts through funding from the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
