Rumson, NJ –  Rumson, NJ will celebrate the holiday season with a traditional Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration at 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 7 in Victory Park. All Rumson residents are welcome to attend.

The evening’s festivities will include musical entertainment by local groups Tim McLoone & the Shirleys, select members of Holiday Express, the Rumson-Fairhaven Tower Singers and the Dean Porter Third Grade Chorus.

There will also be a light show to accompany the festivities, and Santa, Mrs. Claus, Rudolf, Frosty and Santa’s helpers are planning to attend as well.

One Rumson student will be chosen to accompany Santa and Mayor John Ekdahl to the oversized red button that lights up the tree; and that student will have the honor of pressing it to turn on the tree lights to brighten the holidays in Rumson. 

Refreshments, including holiday cookies and hot chocolate and cider will be served. The event will take place rain or shine, and all are invited to attend.
