Keansburg, NJ – November 20, 2014 – Keansburg, NJ will celebrate the holiday season with a traditional Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration at 7 p.m. on Monday, December 1 in Friendship Park located on Main Street in Keansburg.

The evening’s festivities will include holiday performances by the award-winning Bolger Middle School and Keansburg High School Bands, and carols sung by Keansburg Girls Scout Troop #33. Grade school children and everyone else is invited to bring a handmade ornament to hang on the tree.

Mayor Thomas Foley and other officials will flick the switch to light up the tree to signify the official start of the holiday season in Keansburg; and a special appearance by Santa is scheduled as well.

Refreshments, including complimentary holiday cookies and hot chocolate, will be served by the Ladies Fire Auxiliary at Manning Place Fire House, 11-13 Manning Place, immediately after the tree lighting. The event will take place rain or shine, and all are invited to attend.
