mu migliaccio highlands bridgeWest Long Branch, N.J. – Monmouth University’s Center for the Arts announced the opening of a new gallery exhibit, “Anthony Migliaccio: Evolution.” The exhibition, whichwill be heldin Pollak Gallery from October 9 through December 18, will feature selected works by award-winning artist Anthony Migliaccio from his early career to present day. The opening reception will be held on Friday, October 24 from 6 to 8 p.m.

An established printmaker and painter since the mid-70s, much of Migliaccio’s current work features local landmarks. The artist explains, “I work exclusively in oils, enjoying the outdoor experience or ‘plein air’ painting. My subjects are mostly landscapes, water views and beach scenes, but on occasion, one of the many historic buildings found in and around the Jersey Shore become my subjects.” The small plein air paintings he creates are often used as references for larger works up to 4’ x 5’.

His paintings and prints are in collections internationally, and his painting excursions have taken him to scenic locations throughout the world.Migliaccio’s work has been included in more than 100 group and solo exhibitions at notable venues such as the Salmagundi Club, the National Arts Club, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) offices in Washington, D.C., the Noyes Museum and several galleries, colleges and universities throughout the tri-state area.

He is listed in Who’s Who in American Art, and is a Signature Artist Member of both the Noyes Museum and the Plein Air Painters of the Jersey Coast. He has received several awards for his paintings at the Bayonet Farms Art and Music Festival, the Audubon Artists National Juried Show, the Monmouth Museum Open Juried Show and the Guild of Creative Art Open Juried Show. He is the recipient of a Dodge Painting Fellowship, and is an associate member of the Oil Painters of America and an exhibiting artist member of the Audubon Artists, Inc. His work can be seen online at
