MONMOUTH BEACH, NJ – The Art Society of Monmouth County presents an art demonstration/lecture on Wednesday, 10/15, 11am at the Monmouth Beach Cultural Center, 128 Ocean Ave at Seacrest Avenue, Monmouth Beach. Open to the public. New members are welcome to join.

Terry Grewen, acclaimed artist, will demonstrate her process for oil painting in stunning classic realism. Open to public. The ASMC is a non-profit membership-based all volunteer organization that exists to promote the education and appreciation of the visual arts in Monmouth County, NJ. Monthly meetings are held where members can meet with fellow artists and exchange ideas. At these meetings, members benefit from experiencing professional art demonstrations of various media techniques. These meetings are open to the public.

The Society’s members participate in exhibitions at various venues in Monmouth County, both juried and non-juried. Its diverse membership displays its talents in all visual arts: oil, acrylic, pastels, drawings, watercolor, photography, sculpture and mixed media. ASMC’s purpose is to stimulate the advancement and creativity of the arts in its community.

An Annual Merit Scholarship Award is provided for a high school senior who continues art studies in a higher education institution.

Patrons and enthusiasts of the arts, whether students or adults, novice or professional, are welcome to join the ASMC and participate in its meetings and activities.
