ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ – The Atlantic Highlands Chamber of Commerce invites one and all to their Third Annual Taste of Atlantic Highlands, to be held on Sunday, September 14, from 12-5pm.  Guests may explore at least 40 Atlantic Highlands businesses at their leisure.  Restaurants and food specialty shops will be open for walk-in sampling and tastings of freshly prepared local food, drinks, and cocktails, and retail shops will showcase a unique mix of fine goods and services.

“We are excited to showcase our many wonderful restaurants and retail shops,” said Chuck Lero, President of the Atlantic Highlands Chamber of Commerce. “This is our third year sponsoring this event, and every year it’s terrific to have so many patrons come out and enjoy all that Atlantic Highlands has to offer – terrific food and unique retail shops, all in a beautiful setting.”

A free classic trolley shuttle service will be provided. The shuttle will circulate continuously throughout town and on scenic Ocean Boulevard, stopping at all participating businesses.

Event organizer Corinna Thuss of Brightwork Events noted, “In addition to the great food and shopping, we will be giving away door prizes, and some fantastic raffle prizes, such as a $100-$200 gift cards. As guests get their ‘passports’ stamped at participating restaurants and shops, they will be entered into these gift raffles. Also, to complete the setting, we will have live music performances all afternoon.”

Retail shops run the gamut, from hand-crafted art, jewelry and décor to children’s toys, fine salons and other services. Participating restaurants and food specialty shops offer a wide range of experiences, from American, Italian, and Thai cuisine, to hand-crafted local beer, desserts/sweets and more. Thuss said, “For our visitors, the beauty of this historic waterfront town and its growing food scene will combine to provide a real feast for the senses.” She added, “It’s weeks of dining experiences in an afternoon. With shuttle transportation included, it’s a great time and a great value for friends and family.”

A complete list of participating businesses, as well as additional information, may be found on the Chamber website:, or call 732-872-8711. Also, ‘like’ the Chamber on Facebook for updates.

Tickets for the event are $35; children under age 12 are free. They may be purchased at any participating restaurant or business, or via PayPal on the Chamber website. Tickets are limited and generally sell out.  The first 500 tickets sold will include a special tote bag and token redeemable at any participating business at a later date.

The rain date is Sunday, September 21.
