MIDDLETOWN, NJ  – William Kennelly, Sr. has dedicated thousands of hours to the township for the last 50 years as a member of the Lincroft Fire Company. Kennelly joined the Lincroft Fire Company on September 18, 1964. He rose through the ranks and served as Fire Company Captain in 1973 and 1974. After that, Kennelly took the role of Lincroft Fire Company President from 1990 to 1992 and again from 2000 to 2001. In addition, Kennelly has also been an active member of the Middletown Fire Police since 2000.

The Mayor and the Middletown Township Committee recognized Kennelly for his 50 years of dedication to the Lincroft Fire Company, the Middletown Fire Company, and Middletown Township by declaring July 13, 2014 as William Kennelly Sr. Day. He was also presented with a Key to Township at the July Township Committee.
