ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS — The Rev. Barbara Macfie will be the guest speaker during Sunday’s worship service at the First Presbyterian Church.

Her sermon, entitled “Praise the Lord,” is based on Psalm 148 and Mark 12 and is not only about how creation praises God but also why, according to Macfie.

“We have heard that all of creation praised the Lord,” she said. “But did you ever wonder  how that happens. We know how Angels praise God, but how do fish, or the sea, or grasshoppers praise God?”

Macfie is substituting for the church pastor, the Rev. Paul F. Rack, who will return to the pulpit on Sunday, July 6, when the church will begin holding its weekly summer services in the air-conditioned Fellowship Hall in the rear of the church.

Child care is provided during all services at the church at Third and E. Highland avenues.
