Keeping Baby Safe

This event will be held on June 3rd from 4:30—7:30pm. This event is to help parents learn about various ways to protect their child from dangers both in and outside the home.

Community Garden:  Health & Nutrition Class

This program occurs April through October. On Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays we welcome you to come tour the garden and learn how to plant and cultivate spices and vegetables, how to prepare, cook and store vegetables, the nutritional value of healthy meal planning, and share recipes using items nurtured and grown. Join us as we, together, enhance pride in the community.



ESL Classes

Free ESL classes are being offered through Literacy Volunteers of Monmouth County at the Center. Group testing is held Friday from 10:30 am—12:30 pm. One-on-one tutoring is available upon request. Please contact Chris Chrepta, Family Support Partner at 732.571.1670 ext. 303 for more information.


Family Bingo Night

Family Bingo Night is a great way for parents and children to connect and have fun! Dinner is provided and a variety of prizes can be won! The next Family Bingo Night is June 26th from 5—7 pm.


“Tea & Talk” Sandy Support Group

The Family Success Center will host a “Tea and Talk” Sandy support group. For more information contact Marjorie Bafaty, MSW, RN, Family Support Coordinator 732.571.1670 ext. 304.


Sandy Support Groups

The Family Success Center is pleased to announce additional Hurricane Sandy Support Groups in Monmouth County. The first group will be held on the 3rd Monday every month beginning June 16, 2014 between 5—7 pm, at First Presbyterian Church of Manasquan, 16 Virginia Ave., Room L-10, Manasquan. The second group will begin June 12, 2014 between 5—7 pm and will take place on the second Thursday of the month at Church of St. Uriel the Archangel, 219 Philadelphia Boulevard in Sea Girt. Crochet Workshop

LBC Parent Leader Celestina Perez hosts a weekly crochet workshop every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am—12 pm. Learn to crochet or work on projects together. Free babysitting is provided!


Sistas Support Group

The Center partners with the VNA Health Group and hosts a weekly support and education group for Latina women on Wednesdays from 10 am—12 pm. This bi-lingual group offers support, laughter and the opportunity to grow relationships. Lunch and free babysitting are provided. Interested families should contact Alice Irizarry, Health Educator, or Nicole Quinn, Administrator to register at 732.571.1670.            

Family Fun Night

Family Fun Night is a great way for parents and children to connect and grow their relationships. We serve dinner and provide parent—child activities with educational components. Refer to the LBC monthly calendar of events for dates.


“Building Baby’s Brain”

This parent education module is offered in Spanish and English. Parents learn child development and growth ages 0—5 in a supportive and relaxed atmosphere. Days and times vary to accommodate mom and dad’s hectic schedules. We provide breakfast or lunch and free babysitting.


Library Tour

Library tour occurs monthly in Spanish and English. This month we will meet at the Long Branch Public Library on Monday, June 23rd from 10:30—11:30 am for a tour and reading to children hour.
