KEANSBURG, NJ – The Keansburg School District and Substance Awareness Coordinators, Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Keansburg Police Department and Father Time will host a presentation titled “Heroin- Are You Talking to Your Kids Yet” about the heroin epidemic affecting Monmouth County and communities through out the State.
The free presentation is for adults and children in fifth grade and up. It is set for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday May 27 at Keansburg High School 140 Port Monmouth Road in the cafeteria.
Parents are encouraged to bring their children. The program will feature videos, an oral presentation and a question-and-answer session on the use of pills and heroin.
“This is a very critical topic right now and parents need to be aware of what their children may possibly be doing” Keansburg Police Chief James Pigott said. “Parents need to know what to look for and how to help their children,.”
“We are pleased to be working with the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Keansburg Police Department to help bring awareness to the community about this epidemic” said Keansburg Superintendent of Schools Gerald North. “Please make it a point to attend and get the information that is available.”
