ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ – The following is the Holy Week schedule for the United Methodist Churches of Atlantic Highlands and Navesink:

Thursday April 17  Maundy Thursday AT 6:30 PM Navesink UMC

We will begin our night as the disciples did, around a table for a sacrificial meal. 

Come to the Navesink Fellowship Hall (which is located off the parking lot behind the church) as we celebrate Passover, before we move to the Upper Room, sanctuary for the Last Supper.

Friday April 18 12:00 pm St. Agnes Stations of the Cross

Ecumenical Community will gather in the Saint Agnes sanctuary on Good Friday, April 18 at Noon. 

Our service is designed to meditate on the Stations of the Cross as we carry the cross throughout the community. 

We will stop at three churches for times of meditation; St. Agnes, (Noon) Presbyterian Church (1:45pm) and King’s Highway Fellowship Church (2:20pm)

(where we will conclude our service at 3:00 p.m.).


Friday April 18 AT 7:30 PM Atlantic Highlands UMC

We will gather in the Atlantic Highlands Sanctuary for a powerful and moving reflection of Christ’s death.

We welcome Catherine Hubbard, a trained opera singer to guide us through Via Dolorosa to the cross.

Easter Sunday April 20 AT 6:30 am Harbor Gazebo

9:00 am Navesink UMC

10:30 am Atlantic Highlands UMC



On Easter Sunday you are invited to begin your morning celebration at the Gazebo in the Atlantic Highlands Harbor at 6:30 AM for our Sunrise Service. 

Rev. Paul Rack from the Atlantic Highlands Presbyterian Church will lead us in our celebratory Easter meditation.  

  We will continue our celebration of the Resurrection at 9:00 AM at Navesink and 10:30 AM at Atlantic Highlands.

Parking available for the Atlantic Highlands service at the Masonic Lodge on East Garfield Avenue.
