police cruisersATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ – Atlantic Highlands Police are investigating the “suspicious death” of a 17-year-old borough youth.  Police were called to a house in Atlantic Highlands to investigate the death.

Acquaintances of the young man said he was at a party with friends and may have ingested a “pink pill.”  When the young man became unconscious, his friends thought that he had passed out and left him to sleep.  His death was discovered Sunday morning.

AH Police Chief Jerry Vasto said there will be an autopsy today to determine the cause of death.  Toxicology results will not be available for a couple weeks according to Vasto.  Police have not released the name of the youth.
