mt libraryReturning this Spring…READING BUDDIES!

MIDDLETOWN, NJ – Middletown Township Public Library is pleased to announce the return of Reading Buddies.   Meeting Mondays in April– 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th from 4-4:45pm, Reading Buddies Teen volunteers with children in grades K-3 to engender a love of books in the younger children and encourage them to practice their developing reading skills.   This popular program is a great way for reluctant readers to see how ‘cool’ reading can be and to keep avid readers interested in books. No registration required for this age group; meet in the Children’s Department.

Teen volunteers are needed to be paired with children in grades K-3 to encourage and allow them to practice their developing reading skills. Teens must be committed to attending each week or they will be dropped from the program after one unexcused absence. Register online @mtpl.org. Service hours letter will be given at the end of the four-week program.
