ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS — The Rev. Paul F. Rack will preach about the need for Christians being open to hearing God’s word through prayer during the 11 a.m. worship service at the First Presbyterian Church in a sermon entitled “Prayer Is Listening.”

The adult choir, directed by David Nunez, will perform during the service.

Sunday School, which is open to all area youngsters, will follow the pastor’s children’s sermon.
 
The 124-year-old handicapped accessible church at Third and East Highland avenues has extra parking available in a new municipal lot next to the Christian Education Building at 17. E. Highland Ave.
 
Child care for four-year-olds and younger is provided during each service.
