MIDDLETOWN, NJ – Middletown Township Public Library will host “Why do they do that?”, a seminar for parents of children with special needs on Monday, April 7th from 6:30-8:30pm in the Community Room at 55 New Monmouth Road.
Ray Cepeda, BCaBA, author and founder and director of ABAskills, LLC, a private consultation firm specializing in the education and treatment of children with autism and related learning differences will present the program. Mr. Cepeda will outline the four reasons “why” specific behaviors occur and discuss daily issues such as teaching children to accept “no” for an answer, waiting appropriately, transitioning away from preferred items and other functional behaviors.
