The firefighters deployed multiple hose lines and aggressively attack the blaze.  A ventilation hole was cut in the roof of the home in order to release heat and smoke from the interior of the structure.  Chief Laimann declared the fire under control in 8:45 AM.  The last units left the scene by 11:30 AM.

The occupied structure sustained severe fire and smoke damage and is uninhabitable.

Also assisting at the scene were the Port Monmouth and Middletown First Aid Squads.
