MIDDLETOWN, NJ – Road crews are assigned throughout Township to uncover storm drains in order to minimize ponding conditions and to remove downed trees and large limbs from roadways. Public Works is coordinating efforts with JCP&L in locations where the downed trees involve power lines.

Cooper Road is currently closed from Browns Dock Road to McClees Road for power line restoration. JCP&L is working on several other streets including those in the Borden Road area to address power issues. For power outages, call JCP&L at 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877).

Road crews will continue plowing and cleaning up slushy roads throughout the day. This evening in anticipation of colder temperatures additional salt and sand will be applied as needed.
