Thank You to First Responders 2-22-14

They run in where others may run-away, but that’s what our heroic First Responders do. Fire companies, First Aid Squads and Police officers are there when we need them most. That is why Colts Neck Community Church has created an opportunity, a Free Pancake Breakfast” for us to all be able to say “Thank You” to the men and women who blanket our community with help in dire times of need.

All are invited to join us on Saturday February 22nd from 8:00 AM till Noon for a Free “All-You-Can-Eat” Pancake Breakfast to honor our Colts Neck Fire Department and First Aid Squad. The food is free, but donations are encouraged to support these men and women with the funds needed to keep us safe. All proceeds raised on the 25th will go directly to the volunteer Fire Department and First Aid squad in town.

“We hope to raise some money for the Fire Department and First Aid squads, but more important we want to express our deep gratitude for all they do for our community” said Pastor Chris Durkin of Colts Neck Community Church who hosts the event. The Pancake Breakfast planned for Saturday (2-22-14) can be a tremendous success with the support of the community. All are encouraged to join in for a great Breakfast and an opportunity to say Thank You. Come say “thanks”, eat, share, and meet friends (new and old) throughout the morning.

There are many reasons to come to this fund raising event, including an equipment display by the First Responders. The food will be plentiful featuring Pancakes made from special batter and supplies donated by George and Savaas the owners of the Colts Neck Perkins Restaurant at the Orchards on Routes 34 & 537. Be a part of this community event, spread the word and bring friends. “Although we have been doing this for several years, we hope for this to be our best turn out ever.” says Glen J. Dalakian past President of the Colts Neck Business Association and Trustee of the Church. “We were so blessed to see so many from our area join us to celebrate the efforts of our First responders” he continued. Colts Neck Community Church is committed to having a positive impact on the community. They host this event and others as they strive to bring people from throughout the area together.

The Fire Department and First Aid squad here in Colts Neck are among the finest in the state. When the Pager sounds or siren blows many men and women from around town respond to the call for help. Whether fire, accident, health challenges or other these volunteers rush to the aid of those of us in need. In the middle of the day or the middle of the night they fearlessly and selflessly rush to the call and render their assistance. Well trained and ready for the task these dedicated public servants are committed to saving lives and supporting our community.

Donations will be accepted by CNCC for the Fire Department and First Aid squad the day of the Breakfast or feel free to reach them directly as they continue their fund raising efforts. It’s to all of our benefit to render our financial support to these much needed volunteer organizations. In some cases our lives may depend on it.
