ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS — The Rev. Paul F. Rack, the new pastor of the 114-year-old First Presbyterian Church, will preach about Jesus’ attitudes towards repentance, forgiveness, faith and gratitude during the 11 a.m. worship service.
        His sermon, entitled “Gratitude and Forgiveness,” will follow the children’s sermon which, in turn will be followed by Sunday School, which is open to all area children.
        Tess Neilsen will direct the adult choir in the absence of musical director David Nunez. The choir will sing “Precious Lord, Take My Hand” and “Eyes of the Sparrow” during the service. 
        Child care for four-year olds and up is provided during all services at the church at Third and E. Highland avenues.
        Extra parking is available at the new municipal parking lot next to the church education building on  E. Highland Ave.
        Members of the handicapped-accessible church will hold its annual congregational meeting following its service on Sunday, Jan. 26, during which 2013 annual reports and the 2014 budget will be presented and church officers elected.
