david prown 120I had the window of time to go to a late movie so I went to see the 9:40 pm showing of “Lone Survivor”. I had a large cup of coffee, no nap but got something to eat. To make it through a late movie, I gotta have a movie of a lot of action to avoid falling asleep.

I chose to go see “Lone Survivor” I was pretty sure I would stay awake through it. I bet this movie had 20 minutes of previews or more so I was getting nervous if I’ll be able to stay awake.

I was well aware of this storyline from the 60 Minutes story a few months ago plus the lone survivor (Marcus) has been quite visible sharing the story to honor is falling mates.

As the story began to unfold and knowing what I know about the movie, I was afraid I would really do not enjoy. . Wrong Wrong, WRONG..

The cinematography and many other related words that depict the capturing of this true story on film trump all preconceived notions of this movie. The audience was transported right to the middle of this hellacious firefight. You feel both the extremes of utter bravery and utter terror. The fight between four Navy Seals & 200 extremely well armed Taliban extremists was the stuff of legends. Words like patriotism, bravery, loyalty and so many powerful adjectives describe our four soldiers.
