ah youth comm veterans 1This past Monday, November 11, 2013, the Atlantic Highlands Youth Commission, with support from the Town and Surf Diner and Atlantic Cinemas 5, thanked those who have served our country throughout the day. Members decorated the diner, and thanked those who came into the diner and gifted a “Thank You Veterans” t-shirt. With the help of the diner and movie theater, the commission was able to offer a discount at the diner and a free popcorn and soda at the theater in a way of thanking the veterans.

In addition, the commission provided the town with American flags that were hung down First Avenue. The day was a success and we hope to create another special day in thanks to those who have served in the years to come.
