ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ – The Atlantic Highlands Municipal Harbor is among the largest public marinas on the East Coast, a major hub for ferry service into Manhattan and a critical source of local revenue. The harbor is used for the docking of over 500 vessels and has a mooring field for 172 sailboats. The Harbor is also a transient hub for safe refuge for those traveling along the Atlantic Ocean coast from Florida to New England.

On October 29, 2012, Super Storm Sandy destroyed the Harbor as known by many. Due to its importance to the local economy and the need to restore normalcy to the region, the Borough was pressed to quickly restore the Harbor. T&M Associates served as the lead engineer for the initial damage assessment, developed final design documents in only 7 weeks, provided project management during construction and obtained all State and Federal agency approvals. Harbor staff, engineers and the contractor, JH Reid General Contractor, overcame many daily project challenges and made this $20M total rebuild of the harbor successful.
