Monmouth County, NJ – Join the Northern Monmouth Chamber of Commerce for their quarterly Women in Business Luncheon on Thursday, October 17 at 12pm at the Park East Restaurant, 3352 Route 35, Hazlet.  This popular event for women, men and young adults, spotlights women in business. These educational luncheons are designed to empower women in the marketplace. At the conclusion of our Spotlight Presentation, the floor is opened to our members and guests to ask questions of the presenters.

Our two dynamic Spotlight Presenters for the last quarter of 2013 are Jackeline Mejias-Fuerte and Lisa Kanda. They are highly sought after business executives that will surely give you a great return on your investment of time in attending this luncheon.

The topic Services & Programs for Businesses will be presented by Jackeline, who is the Regional Director of NJ Small Business Development Center at Brookdale Community College. Jackeline earned her BA and MBA, and has over 25 years of business experience. Her expertise is in small business development and management. She serves as the committee chair for the Community YMCA Teen Young Achievers Club.  Jackeline is the recipient of numerous awards and is a much sought after speaker as a result of her passion for business and entrepreneurial spirit.

The other topic, 9 “Must Have” Free Business Tools, will be presented by Lisa, who is the Chief Results Officer (CRO) at Elkay Corporate Advisors. Lisa has earned her BA and MA, and has over 25 years of experience in marketing communications, business consulting and coaching, and Jersey Shore Woman Newspaper noted her as an Entrepreneurial Woman. She’s an instructor at the Small Business Development Center where she teaches six social media workshops each semester.

Women In Business Luncheon Chairperson, Katherine Skuback is looking forward to this event stating, “We chose Jackeline and Lisa as our speakers because we wanted to showcase all the free resources available to business owners and professionals in the Monmouth County area, some right in our backyard. We know that the attendees will walk away with a lot of valuable information that they can put to use that same day. The luncheons are open to everyone and anyone—women, men and young adults. We welcome all business professionals to attend our events, including those who are in transition and looking to network. ”

Tickets are $30 for non-members and $25 for Northern Monmouth Chamber members that pre-register before 10/16 and $30 for both members and nonmembers paying at the door. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the Northern Monmouth Chamber website at
