FREEHOLD, NJ  On Friday, November 15th at 7:00 PM, the Saint Petersburg Men’s Ensemble will perform a concert at the First Presbyterian Church of Freehold, located on 118 West Main Street in Freehold.  “The Saint Petersburg Men’s Ensemble as an independent group was found in 2003. The group’s repertoire encompasses various epochs and styles” as reported on their website.  This concert features 2 parts. The first part is a capella (unaccompanied voices), which represents Sacred Songs from ancient Russian chants and Liturgical music to sacred music written by more familiar composers, Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky.  The second part includes Russian Secular Music and Folk songs and includes some accompaniment by an accordion.

Tickets cost $15.00 each and may be purchased by calling the church office at 732-462-0234 or you may visit and click on “Saint Petersburg Men’s Ensemble” for a poster and ticket order form.  The church is handicapped accessible and has excellent acoustics.
