ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ – Are your drawers and closets filled with accessories that you never wear?  The bright orange scarf that Aunt Zelda got you for your birthday; the gaudy rhinestone brooch that you bought, thinking it looked so ‘festive’ at the time;  the thousand-shell necklace that your best friend brought you back from her trip to Bermuda????  Well, here’s your chance to clear out all those unwanted baubles, handbags, scarves, and belts that you don’t use any more.  Bring them to the Accessory Swap at the Monday Mix at the Atlantic Highlands Library, 100 First Avenue, Atlantic Highlands, on Monday, October 7, at 10 AM.

Marilyn Scherfen, former wardrobe consultant for Color One Associates, will be on hand to help you find out why some of your accessory picks of the past didn’t work, and will discuss how to make better choices in the future.  And there’s a bonus!  You will be able to choose new treasures from the others’ castoffs.  Any items not chosen at the swap will be donated to charity.  Bring new or ‘gently used’ items only, please
