UNION BEACH, NJ – The  Bayshore Family Success Center is now open!  We are temporarily located at the Union Beach Memorial Public Library.  Under the umbrella of the Community YMCA, we are open six days a week, Monday-Saturday.  Funded by the NJ Department of Children and Families, all services are provided free of charge.

The purpose of the Bayshore Family Success Center is to enrich the lives of children by strengthening families and neighborhoods.  Family Success Centers are neighborhood gathering places where any community resident can go for support, information and services.  Our approach is collaborative; local residents serve as mentors and decisioin-makers and families use strengths/skills to problem solve.  Residents influence development and implementation of programs held at the Bayshore Family Success Center.

Our core services will include:  access to child, maternal and family health information; economic self-reliance and employment related services; life skills training; housing-related services; parent education and parent-child activities; advocacy; home visitation; information and referral services and; development of “Family Success” Plans.

The community is welcome to join us on Thursday, July 25, 2013 as we introduce the Bayshore Family Success Center and the services we will offer.  Staff will be available to share information and resources available to area families.  There is also volunteer opportunities available.
