BELMAR, NJ – Governor Chris Christie & Mayor Matthew Doherty will reopen the Belmar Boardwalk and Beach for the 2013 season on Wednesday, May 22nd 2013 at 11:00am.

Belmar’s 1.3 mile boardwalk, decimated by Hurricane Sandy, has been rebuilt in time for the Memorial Day weekend.

Join Governor Christie, Mayor Doherty and other local, state and federal elected officials to cut the ribbon on Belmar’s New Boardwalk at Ocean Avenue, between the Avenues of 5th and 6th, as we celebrate the return of our boardwalk and the reopening of the beach for the upcoming summer season.
