Middletown, N.J. – On Tuesday evening April 30 from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Middletown Arts Center, 36 Church Street, the Middletown Community Affairs will host the “Business Is Blooming” B2B. Held for the sixth year, the FREE event is an opportunity for Middletown-based businesses to meet each other for informal networking in an elegant atmosphere. A light buffet dinner catered by Chiafullo’s will be served, and dessert will feature chocolate-covered strawberries and bananas by Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe. Sponsors include Chiafullo’s; Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe; The Write Angles Public Relations & Communications LLC; Silver Tulip Florist; Jacques Reception Center; Gateway Press LLC; and CMDS. Reservations are suggested by contacting Chair Lori Anne Oliwa at [email protected]. All township-based businesses are encouraged to attend. Middletown Mayor Gerard Scharfenberger will be in attendance to meet and greet guests.

In addition, to celebrate Middletown’s involvement in Paint The Town Pink, an initiative by Meridian Health which emphasizes the importance of annual mammograms, the event will have a ‘pink’ theme and will serve as the township’s official Paint The Town Pink kick-off. Attendees are encouraged to wear something pink. From May 1st to June 1st, Middletown will be known as ‘Pink Town.’ Representatives from Meridian Health will attend the B2B to answer questions, and free ‘pink up’ kits will be available to both individuals and businesses who would like to participate. Anyone with interest in Paint The Town Pink, including breast cancer survivors, is cordially invited to attend. There is no charge for attendance.
