SEA BRIGHT, NJ – All are invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Sandy Grounds Playground, on Saturday, April 6, at 9:30 a.m., on the Sea Bright Municipal Beach.

The playground is one of 26 being built in Hurricane Sandy-affected communities by The New Jersey Firefighters’ Mutual Benevolent Association and other volunteers to honor victims of the Newtown, Conn., shooting tragedy. The equipment was purchased through community group donations.

Sea Bright’s playground was built in memory of Anne Marie Murphy, a special education teacher who died protecting her students from the gunfire at the Sandy Hook school.
