HIGHLANDS, NJ – Born and raised in Highlands, NJ, Mrs. New Jersey United States Contestant Melissa Maria Festa, will be participating in the 11th Annual Highlands Saint Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday March 23rd marching with Chilangos Restaurant.  The parade will take place in downtown Highlands at 2:00PM.

Melissa currently reigns as Mrs. Highlands United States 2013 and will be competing against married women from all over the state of New Jersey for the Mrs. New Jersey United States title this May. Should Melissa win, she will assume the title of Mrs. New Jersey United States 2013, and will represent the state at the national Mrs. United States Pageant held this summer in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Hurricane Sandy is what led me to enter this pageant in an effort to bring attention to my hometown and to all the surrounding towns that were greatly affected by this super-storm. I am dedicating my undivided attention to raise an awareness to a higher level and bring attention to our homes along the Shore.”
