morven_trellisesTrellises on display at Morven from May through October 2013

Princeton, NJ – Morven is planning an exciting outdoor event for the 2013 season and we would like YOU to participate! The project will feature freestanding trellises, designed and built by community groups, individuals, and businesses, that will be placed throughout the Morven property from May through October 2013.

Join the fun! The trellis design options are practically limitless! Your trellis can be traditional or funky, nailed or welded, constructed from new materials or recycled objects, it’s all up to you, the artist!

Contact Morven with your intention to participate by emailing [email protected]. A description or design drawing of your trellis is due by April 1st. Once Morven has approved your design and assigns your trellis a space, it should be in place by May 1st. Morven staff and volunteers will help plant the structures with annual vines, and maintain them. An opening reception will be held in June.

This project is part of the Gardens of the Garden State Consortium (a consortium of 19 gardens in NJ). The 2013 theme is Art in the Garden and Morven will be joining multiple gardens throughout the state staging programs that feature art.
