I was a New Jersey Scout, as was my Dad.  He also served as an Assistant Scoutmaster in Bergen County.  It was because of his leadership and the leadership of other men who helped our troop that I became the leader and man I am today.

Being gay, I don’t think Scouting should exclude anyone.  Do we really want future leaders who happen to be born gay to be excluded from the skills, fellowship, and leadership training that Scouting provides?  I know I don’t.

Your homophobia and bigotry say much more about you than they say about your readers or Scouting.  Please reconsider your position and join us all in the 21st century, where Scouting is For All.

Thank you
