Rumson NJ – February 2013 Broadway step dances its way into Molly Maguire’s with a very special appearance by 17-year old world-class champion Irish Step Dancer and Tony Award winning performer Trent Kowalik on Sunday, February 17 at Molly Maguire’s Black Point Inn, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Trent Kowalik is an American actor, dancer and singer. Trent began studying tap and ballet at age 3 and at age 4, began Irish Step Dancing. In April 2006, Kowalik won the youngest male age group of the World Irish Dancing Championship in Belfast, Northern Ireland at age 11. He is a five-time undefeated North American Champion and a World Champion. He holds multiple national titles in Scotland, England and Ireland.

Kowalik made his theatrical debut as “Billy” in the West End production of Billy Elliot the Musical on December 17, 2007. He performed the role of Billy in the London’s West End at the age of 12, and at age 13, he opened the show on Broadway.
In 2009, at age 14, he and his fellow Billy’s, David Alvarez and Kiril Kulish, jointly won the Tony Award for Best Performance By A Lead Actor in A Musical as well as the Theatre Fans Choice Award, Fred Astaire Award, Theater World Award and the Outer Critics Circle Award.
Now 17, Trent, who lives in Wantagh New York, is finishing high school while enrolled at The Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School – Pre-Professional Division of the American Ballet Theatre.
