ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS — The Rev. Michael Riley will preach Sunday about Simeon seeing Jesus in the Temple and how when God kept his promise to the old man he also kept his promises to us.
The pastor’s sermon during the 10 a.m. worship service is entitled “a long-time coming.”
The pastor will continue his “mystery bag” children’s sermon series during which youngsters try to “stump the pastor” by placing personal “treasures” in small bags and challenging Riley to create a message from the contents.
The adult choir, directed by David Nunez, will perform special music.
The 122-year-old, handicapped accessible Presbyterian church at Third and E. Highland Aves. has extra parking available in the new municipal lot next to the Christian Education Building on East Highland Avenue.
