ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS — The Rev. Michael Riley will preach on “A Mother’s Faith – Mary’s Let it Be” as the First Presbyterian Church marks the Third Sunday of Advent during the 10 a.m. worship service.
The Third Advent Candle, the The Angels’ Candle, will be lit by the Thomas family.
The pastor will continue his “mystery bag” children’s sermon series during which youngsters try to “stump the pastor” by placing personal “treasures” in small bags and challenging Riley to create a message from the contents.
Sunday School, which is open to all area youngsters, begins following the children’s sermon.
The adult choir, directed by David Nunez, will perform a special pre-Christmas introit and an offertory anthem.
