RED BANK, NJ – In a program that captures the heart of the Christmas story, the 50-voice Tower Hill Choir presents ‘A Spiritual Christmas’, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church at Red Bank (Tower Hill),
The concert is based on a traditional format of lessons and carols. In this presentation, the carols are Christmas Spirituals. Selections include classic favorites and contemporary arrangements of traditional Spirituals. Among them is “The Virgin Mary Had a Baby Boy,” an arrangement by Mack Wilberg of a West Indian carol in the calypso style.
The concert is an event of the Tower Hill Concert Series. It is presented free of charge; an offering will be taken to defray series expenses. The church is handicapped-accessible. For additional information on Tower Hill Concert Series events, call 732-747-1348 or see www.towerhillchurch.org.
