Well, maybe the tide has turned a bit and there is ‘some’ hope on the movie front. Not sure when I can fit all in, but now seems to be 3-4 movies in the theatres that have peaked my interest.
I went to the 8:30 pm showing of “Mission Impossible” with my son Josh. I took two naps in anticipation (but I still fell asleep for a bit). Anyway, I knew this Tom Cruise (Ethan Hunt) action picture was going to be good as the other two have been.
Lots of wild gadgets, impossible chase and fight scenes, incredible escapes, global hopping, the meanest of bad guys and girls. We’ve seen it all before, but for a mindless fun movie to see on the big screen, it was a home run.
Tom Cruise looked pretty amazing age-wise and really physically fit. I’m sure for lots of the ladies (and guys) he’s quite the eye-candy. For this frumpy old man, Paula Patton (of Precious) was “hubbah, hubbah” – wow.
Nice to go to the movies and come out with a smile again – its been awhile.
