MIDDLETOWN, NJ – Sherlock Holmes is back! Learn more about Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous detective when the library hosts Sherlock Holmes: The Books and Movies, featuring a showing of the 2005 PG-13 film starring Robert Downey, Jr., on Friday, December 30th at 1:30pm.  Called “a fun, action-packed reintroduction to Conan Doyle’s classic characters” (Empire Magazine), Guy Richie’s film is an enjoyable, stylish introduction to the world’s greatest detective.

In addition to the film, we’ll have games, riddles, and posters to give out, plus a Sherlock Holmes trivia competition.  How well do you know the residents of 221B Baker Street?  Come find out!

The film will be shown in the Library’s Community Room at the library’s main branch at 55 New Monmouth Road, Middletown, NJ 0774.   This event is free and open to the public.  Funding for this program comes from the generous support of the Middletown Township Public Library Foundation, Inc.
