RED BANK, NJ – The list of special and regularly scheduled programs offered in the Adult and Children’s Departments of the Red Bank Public Library continues to grow in 2012.

The Red Bank Public Library’s Acoustic Saturdays music series continues its third season on January 28, 2012, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. with a performance by the band Kagero featuring their special brand of Japanese Gypsy Rock. Kagero’s sound is a melting pot of tonalities and rhythms from Asia, the Middle East, South America, and Eastern Europe, a “Cultural Confusion.” “Sometimes the songs feature beautiful imagery, sometimes sad folk tales, sometimes they are silly songs. But the tunes are always fun, and the show is a high energy dancing good time. Kagero’s world music goulash is very tasty, even if you don’t always know what it is you’re eating,” says the band’s founder, Kaz Fujimoto. Visit Kagero at www.kagero.com. The library presents this series featuring the best singers, songwriters, and acoustic musicians on the Jersey Shore and beyond on the last Saturday of the month from September to November and January to May. These free performances are supported by funds from the New Jersey State Library. Watch for announcements of the February through May performances on the library website and at the library.
