MANASQUAN, N.J. – The best high school classical musicians and vocalists from New Jersey will perform two free concerts on Wednesday, Nov. 9, as Rising Stars returns to Algonquin Arts Theatre for the 13th consecutive year.

The concerts, sponsored by Two River Community Bank, will begin at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m., respectively. Patrons should reserve free tickets in advance at or by calling 732-528-9211.

The Rising Stars program was created through the Algonquin Arts Theatre Education Department with the help of Lee Weisert from Manasquan High School. Originally open to students in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, the program is now available to the entire state.

As part of the program, finalists will meet with a guest mentor – a professional in the classical music industry – and will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with the mentor and further explore the possibility of a future career in the music industry.

Algonquin Arts Theatre was founded in 1992 as a nonprofit organization that uses the arts to provide cultural enrichment and educational enhancement of the highest quality for Central New Jersey residents.
