HIGHLANDS, NJ – On October 17, 2011, the Highlands Board of Education voted unanimously to approve a shared services agreement with Atlantic Highlands and Henry Hudson Regional School Districts for a shared Superintendent.  The Board of Education resolution, approving this agreement, was presented to the Atlantic Highlands and Henry Hudson Regional Boards of Education, in addition to being submitted to the Executive County Superintendent, Joseph Passiment, for his review.

Board President, Karen Horner stated, “The educational and financial benefits of having one superintendent for the Tri-District would be beneficial if all three districts could come to an agreement. The Highlands Elementary School Board of Education looks forward to participating in a collaborative process to evaluate candidates for this position.”

Interviews for the possible Tri-District superintendent position are scheduled to take place in the next few weeks.
