ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ  — The Highlands Community Singers will mark the anniversary of “9/11” when its presents its annual concert at the Gazebo in the municipal harbor at 7 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 11.

   Among its repertoire will be patriotic numbers, old-time favorites and sing-alongs plus the group’s signature song, “Happy As a Clam!”

   Featured singers include baritone Rick Makin, Lincroft; soprano Tomi Jain, Highlands, and Louise and Peter Donoghue, here.

   The concert will conclude the group’s summer season, which included appearances before area senior citizen groups and its first performance at the Highlands Clam Fest. The Gazebo concert, which was postponed by rain on Aug. 14, is sponsored by the Atlantic Highlands Recreation Committee and supported by the borough’s Harbor Commission.

   The Highlands Community Singers are directed by Louise Donoghue, Atlantic Highlands, and accompanied by Erik Vagen, West Keansburg.
